Rocha launches the 2022 Holy Week Operation


From the Bellavista beach, in the municipality of Guasave, Governor Rubén Rocha Moya launched the Security and Civil Protection Operation for Easter 2022, in which more than 10,000 elements from the different public security corporations will participate, Protection Civil, civil relief organizations such as the Red Cross and Firefighters, in addition to the collaboration of the Mexican Army, the Mexican Navy and the National Guard, to provide protection, assistance and assistance to the two million visitors who are estimated to come to the different points of recreation in the state, such as beaches, rivers, resorts and ceremonial centers.

Governor Rocha stressed that the capacity of these tour destinations will be 100 percent, that is, there will be no limitations on their entry, and regarding the use of face masks, he explained that it will be optional in open spaces and outdoors, such as the beaches, but in closed places, such as restaurants for example, they must behave, as a measure to avoid contagion of COVID-19.

Referring to the pandemic that has already passed two years and that forced the implementation of restrictive measures and the closure of beaches, he celebrated that these restrictions are already beginning to be left behind, and an example is to restore capacity to 100 percent on the beaches. , but in any case, he reiterated the call to the population to continue taking care of themselves, keep a healthy distance and maintain hygiene measures.

“You are going to be able to take advantage of your beaches, after two years of not being able to do so due to the pandemic,” he said.

The state president thanked the Red Cross and Firefighters for their voluntary participation in this Holy Week operation, as they do every year, and in reciprocity said that his government will continue to support these non-governmental organizations so that they can continue providing their efforts to help the population.

During his message, Governor Rocha commented that prior to the start of this Holy Week Operation, he instructed the Secretary of Public Works, José Luis Zavala Cabanillas, to repair and rehabilitate all roads and accesses to beach destinations, in all municipalities, and in total a total of 1,016 kilometers were modernized, with an investment of almost 26 million pesos, since patchwork and repainting, painting and signage work was carried out, in order to provide safety to motorists.

In turn, the Secretary of Public Security, Cristóbal Castañeda Camarillo, explained that 10,000 elements, 1,500 vehicles, 71 ambulances, a helicopter, 33 cranes, 33 aquatic vehicles will participate in the Security and Civil Protection Operation for Easter 2022 ( jetsky and boats), while the Secretary of the Navy will have a fast interceptor boat in Altata Bay.

This body of assistance and protection will be deployed in 58 beaches, 49 recreational points in rivers, 60 spas, 11 ceremonial centers, four Magical Towns and three Stately Towns.

This event for the start of the operation was also attended by the commander of the Third Military Region, General Enrique Dena Salgado; the commander of the Ninth Military Zone, General Héctor Ávila Alcocer; the state coordinator of the National Guard, Lieutenant Colonel Ramiro Ramírez; the representative of the Navy, Captain Hegor Martínez Hernández; the state attorney general, Sara Bruna Quiñones Estrada; the delegate of the Sinaloa Red Cross, Carlos Block Artola; and the municipal presidents of Salvador Alvarado, Ahome, Mocorito, Badiraguato, Angostura and Sinaloa.
