Robbery in Amos: a wanted suspect

The Sureté du Québec (SQ) is asking the public to identify the suspect of a robbery, which occurred last February in a convenience store in Amos, in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

The suspect reportedly entered a convenience store on rue Des Pins around 8 p.m. on February 20 and threatened the cashier with a handgun. He would then have asked him for the contents of the box, as well as cigarettes before fleeing on foot.

According to the SQ, the suspect would be about 1.70 m tall. On the evening of the flight, he wore a black toque and neck warmer, as well as a long khaki-green coat. The coat had a logo on the left shoulder that could be related to that of the Canadian Armed Forces. He also wore Adidas pants, multicolored gloves and a red, white and black backpack.

Any information that could identify this individual can be communicated in complete confidentiality to the Criminal Information Center of the Sûreté du Québec at 1 800 659-4264.
