Road conditions are a factor in the Amherstburg crash that kills one

Road conditions are believed to have been a factor in an Amherstburg accident that left one person dead Monday morning.

Windsor police said one person was killed in a two-car accident on County Road 9 in Amherstburg around 6:30 a.m. Monday. The sole occupant of one vehicle was killed in the accident, while the second car had two occupants.

The police have not released any information about the deceased pending notification to the relatives.

Windsor Police said they believe wet road conditions were a factor in the accident.

County Road 9 between Texas Road and County Road 10 was closed all morning and reopened around 1:30 p.m.
