Regina City teams are back in storm mode.
As gusts continue to cover all parts of Regina’s streets, the main focus of winter crews has shifted to providing ice control on busy roads and intersections, as well as monitoring snow blizzard-prone road sections. .

Several Regina residents were without power Tuesday as a result of a heavy snowstorm.
This weekend, the teams will tackle the places where the wind gusts have brought snow, as well as the perimeter areas of the city. However, if snow levels exceed two inches, crews will move onto highways, arteries, hospital routes, and high-traffic residential areas.
Systematic plowing involves 573 km of cleared roads within 60 hours of the end of the snowfall. Additionally, sidewalks near city facilities, parks, and transit stops will be cleared.
Snow routes have been declared and residents cannot park on them from 6 a.m. on Saturday, January 8 to 6 a.m. on Sunday, January 9.

This recent delay is expected to last until the middle to the end of next week. The city will inform residents when the plan is expected to continue.
As always, residents are encouraged to exercise extra caution when driving. Keep yourself, passengers and operators safe by staying at least 3.5 cars, or 15 meters, away from the equipment.
