Reader’s Letter: Put the tram in a different location than the riverfront park

Article content

A large amount of taxpayer money was spent to return the tram to its original condition.

So why doesn’t the council want to show it?

Why do they keep wanting to put it on the river bank?

What’s wrong with placing it in a more pedestrian-friendly or tourist-friendly location? Are people going to go to a secluded place to see a part of history? I do not think they do.

Why not put this piece of history where many can see it?

The museum is a logical place. Others include Jackson Park, next to City Hall or next to the existing train locomotive on the boardwalk.

These are just a few spots much more suitable than a secluded parking area on the riverbank.
