Reader’s Letter: Many thanks to retiring newscaster Jim Crichton

Article content

Our community in the Windsor area owes a debt of appreciation for the retirement of new CTV presenter Jim Crichton.

Article content

For more than 20 years, it has brought us confidence in the news. This has been reflected in the stories covered and in their delivery of clear and concise information.

Not all metropolitan markets in Canada have been fortunate to have such a strong voice for so long.

With the avalanche of so much false information these days delivered through social networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), we are lucky to have been able to count on a professional like Jim.

Additionally, he has been one of the most fervent promoters in the community by supporting so many good causes and being available at many community functions.

Let’s all wish Jim a happy retirement.
