Reader letter: Attempting to buy our votes is just wrong

I am offended by the provincial Conservative government’s elimination and refund of license plate renewal.

I also see the provincial Liberal party wants to provide pension increases if elected. Who knows what the NDP will promise voters?

How much do our politicians want to spend to buy our vote?

Eliminating fees or providing withdraws more money should have been done well before an upcoming election if they want any credibility.

Ontario’s residents are wise enough to know if something is to be reduced or cut that an increase in taxes or fees will be needed to pay for it.

Most citizens realize it is a feeble attempt to buy our votes with our own money.

I believe Canada and the provinces need to revamp our election and spending habits.
