Quintana Roo has the highest rate of victims of corruption


Acts of corruption in government institutions are a constant in Mexico. During 2021, a rate of corruption victims of 14.7 per 100,000 inhabitants was registered, according to figures from the ENCIG (National Survey of Government Quality and Impact) of the Inegi.

The incidence of corruption by public agents or government institutions is differentiated at the regional level.

Quintana Roo, Puebla, Baja California, Durango and the State of Mexico are the entities where the rate of victims of acts of corruption is highest.
