Querétaro livestock fair could return after two years

Queretaro, Qro. After two years without taking place, this 2022 the International Livestock Fair of Queretaroinformed the president of the Regional Livestock Union of the state (UGRQ), Alejandro Ugalde Tinoco.

He said that the realization of the fair is an issue that has already been discussed with the governor, Mauricio Kuri González.

For now, they have not advanced in the hiring of artists, because they will first make a financial run.

“We want it to be a high-level event as the people of Queretaro deserve and demand, especially after two years of the pandemic. (…) We are working to guarantee that there is a 100% safe fair and with high content, as the people of Queretaro deserve, ”he stressed.

He added that there will also be the support of the main sponsors, including beer and soft drink companies.

Meanwhile, the UGRQ is in talks with the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism (kanak) and with the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (Canirac), to generate alliances and encourage the economy of other sectors during the fair.

However, he acknowledged that it is still necessary to know what capacity is authorized for the fair, which will tentatively start on the last Friday of November and will end on December 12.

After the cancellation of the 2020 and 2021 editions, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the organization of the fair stopped receiving between 14 and 16 million pesos.

The businessman recalled that the profits from this event were destined for strategic projects of the various local and specialized livestock associations in the state
