Querétaro Automotive Cluster obtains silver certification from ESCA


Queretaro, Qro. The Querétaro Automotive Cluster received the silver certification issued by the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA).

In 2016, the cluster obtained the bronze label; and now the silver, called Dedicated to Cluster Excellence (Dedicated to the excellence of the cluster) after accrediting -through an audit by an ESCA expert- advances in improvement processes.

During the work tour of businessmen and local public servants in Europe, the delivery was made official; With this distinction, it is recognized as a cluster that operates based on international standards of excellence, with adequate administration for the benefit of its associates and the entity, as well as a strategic ally in economic development policy.

The certification was delivered by the general director of ESCA, Helmut Kergel, and was received by both the president and the director of the cluster, Renato Villaseñor and Daniel Hernández, respectively; and that the governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González, witnessed.

The cluster currently has 113 members, including OEM companies, TR1, TR2, state government agencies, universities and technical schools. It is the only cluster in the state that has accredited the silver certification.

Just in September 2021, the ESCA awarded the bronze certificate to six of the seven clusters formally established in the state: Aerocluster of QuerétaroVórtice IT Querétaro Cluster, Querétaro Medical and Health Cluster, Logistics Industry Cluster of Querétaro (Cilqro), Plastics Cluster and Energy Cluster of the state.
