The number of hospitalizations for COVID-19 in Quebec has increased by 105 to 3,300, which is another record in a week full of them, according to the latest Ministry of Health.

Of those patients, 282 are in intensive care, an increase of seven and also an all-time high.
The province also announced that 21 more deaths have been attributed to the virus, bringing the death toll in the province to 12,310.
The seven-day rolling average of COVID-19 deaths in the province, which never exceeded 10 during the last eight months of 2021, now stands at 53.
The province has confirmed another 5,946 cases through PCR tests at its clinics. Since the majority of Quebecers are not eligible for that form of testing at this time and must instead rely on rapid tests administered at home, that figure is not particularly representative of the situation in Quebec.
A total of 795,753 infections have been confirmed in the province since the first was reported in February 2020.
