Quebec Prime Minister Asked About Defensive Tone During Fall Session of the National Assembly – Montreal | The Canadian News

When speaking in the home, UMs must maintain parliamentary decorum. Among other things, that means there are no personal attacks.

That rule has not always been followed in this session and the prime minister has been called to order on many occasions.

During his end-of-session press conference, Legault told reporters: “I will keep trying to be quiet and drink my herbal teas. “

“Madam. Anglade says that (Health Minister) Christian Dubé and I are responsible for the death of a man in Senneterre,” Legault explained. “I am strong, but it is difficult to hear things like that.”

The 65-year-old man died after the emergency room in his city closed due to staff shortages. The government has offered salary bonuses to hire more nurses.

On Friday, Prime Minister Legault also admitted that the recent ombudsman report on the deaths in CHSLD during the first wave of COVID-19 has been harsh on his morale.

“The reality is that he is not answering questions,” Anglade said during the end-of-session press conference on Thursday. “And it is affecting him.”

“It’s obviously affecting him, but he needs to answer those questions.”

“This prime minister keeps saying he’s close to the people, but he opens the door to giving millions of dollars to a billionaire for half a baseball team in Montreal,” Nadeau-Dubois said.

“When we ask those questions, François Legault reacts, he loses control because we are pointing out his contradictions,” he said.

Now that all parties are preparing for next year’s elections, the attacks could become even more intense.
