The bus was parked at the Tecumseh Arena and Recreation Complex, where staff administered vaccinations and boosters. Approximately 300 appointments were available.

“We are happy to welcome the GO-VAXX bus to Tecumseh,” said Mayor Gary McNamara, adding he hoped it made it more convenient for some residents to get vaccinated.

The GO-VAXX mobile clinics are a partnership between the Ontario government and Metrolinx, a Crown agency that manages and integrates road and public transport in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas.

The fully accessible buses travel to malls, festivals, community hubs and events across Southern Ontario and beyond.
