Officials from the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board have fired a class of students from St. Rose Elementary School after confirmation of a COVID-19 case.

Spokesman Stephen Fields said the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit ordered the board on Sunday to withdraw the class.
Affected students were notified not to attend school on Monday. The health unit will notify students when they can return to school.
Fields said health unit staff are communicating with students and staff who may have been affected, instructing them to follow.
The board has advised parents to continue to monitor their children for symptoms of the virus every morning and to keep them home or call their healthcare provider for further instructions if they are ill or awaiting test results for the virus. COVID-19.
