Police Search Suspect Following Lindsay – Peterborough Convenience Store Robbery | The Canadian News

Police in Lindsay, Ontario, say they have identified a suspect following a reported robbery at a convenience store on Friday.

According to the Kawartha Lakes City Police Service, around 5:30 p.m. officers responded to a reported robbery at a convenience store on William Street North.

Police say a suspect entered the store and demanded cash from the clerk.

A brief struggle ensued and was interrupted when a customer entered the store, police said.

The suspect tried to flee, but was briefly stopped by the client. However, after a fight, the suspect fled. No injuries were reported.

“The police have identified the suspect with the help of video surveillance; the investigation is ongoing, ”police said Tuesday.
