Police look for an armed bandit in the car wash in Leduc

Police are asking for help identifying the person who allegedly robbed a Leduc car wash at gunpoint Wednesday night.

A masked man in dark clothing is said to have demanded money from an employee while holding what appeared to be a firearm at Super Car and RV Wash at 3801 50 St. Leduc RCMP was called for the armed robbery shortly after 9 p.m.

The suspect ran away with an undisclosed amount of money, police say. Officers, including a team of police dogs, searched for the man but could not find him.

Police released images of the suspect whose face was hidden.

He is described as 20 to 30 years old, around one meter eighty and with an average build. He was wearing black clothes, gloves and a mask at the time and was carrying a light blue plastic bag.

Anyone who recognizes this person or has information about this investigation should contact Leduc RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
