This comes after two separate shooting incidents took place in the same area on Friday night that sent two men to hospital. Both victims are equally in a stable condition.

Authorities were called around 6pm after the first incident, also on Rolland Boulevard. The victim was a 32-year-old man and was shot in both legs. He was walking with another man, who was not hit.

Hours later, at 02:20, the SPVM was sent to the intersection of Monselet Street and Brussels Avenue for the second shooting, which took place nearby.

Officers did not find the victim, but found bullet casing caps on the ground. They say they were later informed that a 25-year-old man arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body.

No suspects were identified and no arrests were made for either of these two incidents. Authorities say they do not know if the three events are related.

All three victims will be questioned by police.
