Police deployment to find a man in Saint-Zotique

A command post has been established in the Saint-Zotique area to find a 26-year-old young man who has been missing since Saturday morning.

According to the authorities, Alexandre Moquin would have left his residence by bike around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday. He could have been in the Montreal area during the day, and could still be there.

The SQ invites the population of Saint-Zotique to keep an eye out and remain vigilant. Those close to the young man fear for his health and safety due to known health issues, according to a statement.

The man could move with this bicycle.

A vast police operation was underway on Saturday to find Alexandre Moquin as quickly as possible. In particular, a command post was established and teams specializing in high-risk disappearances were actively involved in the investigation.

“We are making every effort to find the man as quickly as possible,” said Nicolas Scholtus, spokesman for the SQ.

The young man is 1.80 m (5 ft 11 in) tall and weighs 70 kg (154 lb). He has brown hair and blue eyes. When he disappeared, he was wearing a red hoodie, white shorts and “crocs” type shoes.

Anyone who sees Alexandre Moquin is asked to contact 911. In addition, any information that could help find Alexandre Moquin can be communicated, confidentially, to the Criminal Information Center of the Sûreté du Québec at 1 800 659-4264 .
