Edmonton police attended West Edmonton Mall for a planned protest against the masks on Saturday afternoon. In a press release, police said they learned of the protest before the event.

Three people were arrested on various charges, including pending warrants, making threats and public mischief, in addition to having previously been banned from the mall.
