Poilievre wants to enrich Canadians and ruin Putin with oil

While the Legault government plans to block oil exploitation and exploration in Quebec, the candidate for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada (PCC) is trying to seduce Quebeckers, in particular by putting forward the oil industry.

Interviewed on the show The balance sheetMr. Poilievre said he wanted to accelerate the development of oil projects in the country in order to help the Canadian economy and harm Vladimir Putin.

“We should approve projects that would allow us to sell natural gas in Europe so that Europeans can break their dependence on the dictator Putin. We can take money from him and give it to our workers, ”claims the candidate for the leadership of the PCC.

Although he refuses to criticize the position of François Legault, Pierre Poilievre believes that energy projects, under Justin Trudeau, have been greatly slowed down. In his opinion, the federal government could and should have done more to export its oil to Europe and elsewhere in the world.

“The position of Justin Trudeau and the Bloc is to support foreign oil. I support Canadian energy,” says Pierre Poilievre.

In particular, he wants to eliminate paperwork so that projects can be approved more quickly.

Moreover, he refuses to believe that Quebecers are against oil. For Pierre Poilievre, the debate is not whether this type of energy is desirable. It is rather its provenance that is important, insists the politician.

“The question is: do we want the oil of Putin and Maduro, in Venezuela, or the clean energy of Canada?”
