The owner of the restaurant concerned was in his office at the back of the business and it was when he left that he saw that one of his front windows was pierced in six places.

“On closer inspection, he found that it was bullet holes,” said Captain Benoît Bilodeau, spokesman for the Terrebonne police.

Notified of the situation a little before 9 a.m., the police went to the scene and secured the place.

No one was injured by the shots and authorities do not know exactly when they were fired.

The target business is the Lebanese restaurant Basha, located in a small shopping complex, at the corner of Chemin Gascon and Montée Major.

An investigation was opened to establish the circumstances of this event and above all, to try to find the author of this armed attack.

Footage from surveillance cameras in the area was also to be viewed by investigators during the day.

No arrests have yet been made in this case.
