Residents of the southern coast of British Columbia woke up Thursday morning to a thick layer of snow.

Whether the result was a wintry wonderland or a snowy nightmare probably depended on whether he was a traveler or not, but for many, the new white cape was magical.

British Columbia global meteorologist Mark Madryga said most areas of the Lower Continent saw 10 to 20 centimeters of snow fall overnight.

The region is forecast to see clear and cold conditions through Saturday, when snow could return before temperatures rise and heavy rains arrive Sunday.
