Peru, Colombia and Sweden will be Mexico’s last rivals before Qatar 2022


The selections of Peru, Colombia and Sweden were confirmed by the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) as the rivals for the last three preparation matches that El Tri will have for their participation in the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The FMF announced on Tuesday that the Aztec team will face Peru on Saturday, September 24 at the Rose Bowl, in Pasadena, and Colombia on Tuesday, September 27 at the Levi’s Stadium, in Santa Clara.

Both games will take place in the state of California as part of the series of matches that the Mexican team plays in the United States for the commercial commitment of the FMX with the promoter company Soccer United Marketing (SUM).

The match against Sweden will be played in Europe, on Wednesday, November 16 at the Montilivi stadium in Girona, Spain.

These three warm-up matches for the Mexican team are added to the one previously announced against Paraguayon Wednesday, August 31 at the Mercedes Benz Stadium, in Atlanta, Georgia.

None of these four rivals managed to qualify for the World Cup Qatar 2022 in which Mexico was installed in Group C together with Saudi Arabia, Argentina and Poland.
