A pedestrian was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Toronto on Friday night, police say.
Toronto police said on Twitter that emergency teams were called to the Old Weston Road and Rowntree Avenue area, south of Rogers Road, shortly after 8 p.m.

Police said the pedestrian did not respond and was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Toronto paramedics told Global News that the victim was taken to a trauma center.
Police said the car involved is believed to have been stolen and the driver fled the scene on foot.
