Outbreak at Hamilton’s Corktown Pub rises to 11

COVID-19 It continues to spread in Hamilton, with more outbreaks reported Tuesday.

An outbreak at the Corktown Pub, Associate with a Gray Cup event on Dec. 10, it increased from seven to 11 people on Tuesday, including a staff member. There are 31 outbreaks throughout the city, most in schools.

Dirty Dog Saloon, located at 41 Catharine St. N., has six infected customers in a new outbreak declared Monday. The date associated with the outbreak is December 11, the Saturday of Gray Cup weekend. An outbreak was also declared Monday at Bellmoore Elementary School, with two cases in students.

Hamilton has 143 new cases as of Tuesday, and its seven-day average for new cases rose to 126.

Announced Tuesday morning, Ontario Medical Director of Health Dr. Kieran Moore is holding his weekly press conference at 3pm today, as opposed to the usual Thursday update.
