In a ceremony without any legal value which was filmed by participants, several people can be seen swearing to God to be part of the “Canadian Peacekeepers Corps”.

“There are people in there who think they have the power to go and arrest people on their own,” said Alexandre Moranville-Ouellet, host of the podcast “It’s Only A Theory.” at the microphone of Richard Martineau on QUB radio Thursday.

He explains that some protesters claim to be part of the sovereign citizens’ movement and reject any state authority, because they believe that states and governments have signed a social contract without their consent.

“In any case, they are convinced that they are immune to all the fines that we could give them because they do not respect these laws,” added Alexandre Moranville-Ouellet.
