Trailing 3-0, the Ottawa 67 pulled off a big comeback in the third period, beating the Generals 5-4 in an Ontario Hockey League shootout in Oshawa on Sunday.
The 67 scored four consecutive goals in the third period, from Jack Beck (their eighth of the season), Thomas Johnston, Dylan Robinson and Matthew Mayich, to take a 4-3 lead. A goal from Oshawa’s Ryan Gagnier tied the game with 1:36 left.
After a goalless overtime, the 67 won it on penalties with a goal from Brenden Sirizzotti.
The 67 play Friday in Kingston, then host the Frontenacs on Saturday afternoon.
