Ontario residents 50 and older can reserve COVID booster shots | The Canadian News

Ontario residents age 50 and older can reserve COVID-19 booster doses starting today if it has been six months since they received their second injections.

The provincial vaccine reservation portal will open for appointments at 8 am

People can also book vaccines over the phone, through local public health units using their own reservation systems, and at some primary care pharmacies and clinics.

Eligibility for the booster will open to all adults on January 4, but the province’s top doctor has said the schedule could move faster if capacity allows.

Today is also the deadline for long-term care workers in the province to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The story continues below the ad.

Staff, students, and volunteers cannot enter long-term care homes without proof of both doses.
