Health Minister Christine Elliott said 366 of those infected are not fully vaccinated or have unknown immunization status, while 300 fully vaccinated people contracted the virus.

The province says three of the deaths reported today occurred more than a month ago and have now been added to the overall count following a data cleanup.

There are currently 126 patients in the hospital testing positive for COVID-19 and 133 people in intensive care due to the disease.

Elliott noted that not all hospitals report COVID-19 data on weekends.

The province had planned to lift capacity limits in the remaining settings where proof of vaccination is required on Monday, but postponed the measure for at least 28 days after an increase in infections.
