The Labor Department dispatched inspectors to a concrete manufacturing plant in Dundas, Ontario, on Monday night after a man believed to be 30 years old was killed at the plant.

Investigators say Hamilton Fire and paramedics were called to the incident at Coreslab Structures near the intersection of Highway 6 and Highway 5 just before 6:30 p.m.

“A worker was reported to have suffered fatal injuries while cleaning a machine,” ministry spokesman Kalem McSween told Global News.

The investigation continues.
