Ontario: driver in serious condition after hitting tree


A man hangs between life and death after hitting a tree with his vehicle in Manitock, Ontario.

The accident occurred around 8 a.m. Saturday morning on Roger Stevens Road, near Rideau Valley Road, according to information collected by the “Ottawa City News”. The vehicle reportedly rolled over before crashing into a tree.

The car was pinned to the tree, the driver found himself stuck, said the Ottawa fire department. Jaws had to be used to free the victim. The vehicle doors as well as the roof were removed in the rescue operation.

After about 40 minutes, the victim was taken out of his vehicle and transported to a hospital center where there are still fears for his life.
