Only 30% of businesses in Querétaro have a delivery system: Canaco

Queretaro, Qro. For every 10 businesses, only three have a delivery system (home delivery), that is, with a delivery scheme for their products, according to the Querétaro delegation of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Canaco Servytur).

The state president of the chamber, Fabián Camacho Arredondo, stressed that the percentage of businesses that have this type of purchase is still low, it is mainly businesses dedicated to the sale of food, pharmacies, hardware stores, household items. and construction materials.

“There are very few, at least what we have registered is that of 10 businesses, only three of them are being adapted into a logistics system and product distribution service,” he explained.

Lack of knowledge about how to use this type of tool is one of the reasons why fewer businesses use them.

“It has a lot to do with the development of skills, (…) but what we are looking for in the chamber is at least to train them, give them knowledge so that these solutions can be adapted (to their businesses),” he said.

According to the local leader, the absence of these systems results in businesses generating sales below the potential they could achieve with delivery schemes.

“Today it is implying a decrease in sales for those businesses that are not in technology and that do not have a distribution system, they are losing up to 20% of what they could represent by adapting these new technologies,” he said.
