There is bound to be one lineup wrinkle for the Maple Leafs in Game 1 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Winger Ondrej Kase, who has not played since March 19 when he suffered a concussion against Nashville, skated on the second line with center John Tavares and Ilya Mikheyev at practice on Sunday.

Michael Bunting, who suffered a suspected leg injury against Florida on April 23, participated before leaving midway through practice.

“Kase looks close,” Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe said. “We’re going to make a decision on him (Monday). I’d call it a game-time decision.

Bunting is also close. We wanted to see how he responded. I would say he’s doubtful for (Game 1), but we certainly expect to see him in the series.”

Defenseman Rasmus Sandin, who suffered a knee injury in that March 19 game against the Predators, is on the cusp of being ready to possibly return. I have formed the fourth pair on Sunday with Justin Holl.

“He’s close, but he hasn’t had enough of a workload for me to consider him an option at this point,” Keefe said of Sandin.
