Nuevo León will require vaccination or Covid tests to enter the Pa’l Norte festival

The state Secretary of Health, Alma Rosa Marroquín Escamilla, informed that people who attend the Pa’l Norte festival, in Fundidora Park, on November 12 and 13, who will be asked to present the vaccination certificate to those who have the complete scheme, or a negative test for Covid-19 to enter the event, which in theory will have a capacity of 40 percent.

“We have made health recommendations for the people who are going to attend the Pa’l Norte event. The first filter is that the person who is going to enter the festival has a complete vaccination scheme, that is going to be one of the first essential requirements to be able to enter “.

“People who have an incomplete scheme of the vaccine or who show an incomplete card, must also present a negative antigen test. If you do not have, or decided, or could not go to get vaccinated or do not have proof of vaccination, you must present a PCR test, “the official warned.

However, both PCR and antigen tests must be valid for less than 72 hours at the time of entering the festival.

He clarified that in the event that minors between the ages of 15 and 17 who have not been vaccinated enter, they must carry, in addition to photo identification, a negative PCR test for Covid-19.

Access to pregnant women or children under 15 years of age will not be allowed and the event will have to be 100% smoke-free.

The organizers will place attendees a bracelet that guarantees that they have already passed through the entire health review, and later the authority will carry out a safety review and place the antibacterial gel.

It is worth mentioning that the Pa’l Norte festival, which would take place in March 2020, was postponed to September of that year, however, in June it was announced that the Ministry of Health suspended the in-person festival due to the increase in Covid cases -19.

Capacity 75%

According to the epidemiological traffic light of Week 43, there are five indicators in green, four in orange, one in yellow; and none in red, therefore, the state will maintain the 75% capacity in establishments and commercial lines.

“As we have five indicators in green color, our traffic light continues in yellow until three weeks are completed with these five indicators in green, to be able to change to a green traffic light, with a low risk of virus transmission,” noted the official.

Access to pregnant women will be allowed in shops and establishments as long as they comply with the sanitary protocol of the mandatory use of a mask, application of antibacterial gel, measurement of body temperature, and maintain a healthy distance of 1.5 meters.

Likewise, the capacity in the educational establishments is maintained also respecting the aforementioned sanitary protocols.

The Secretary of Health reported that in the last 24 hours there were 157 new cases, 12 deaths, 315 hospitalized for a hospital occupation of 24%; and 79 people with artificial ventilation.

The total number of infections since the pandemic began is 286,927; and deaths in 14,566.
