“Today we announce a Green Tax Reform, an ambitious reform to create taxes on the landfill, mining, greenhouse gases, and each company or industry that pollutes will pay for the remediation. With these resources we will have a fund that will apply directly to massive reforestation, ”said the state president.

In the panel he shared with Raymond Johansen, the ruling mayor of Oslo, Norway, and Celia Blauel, the deputy mayor of Paris, France, he stated that Monterrey It is one of the largest cities in Latin America and has pollution caused mainly by the Pemex refinery in Cadereyta, therefore, it reached an agreement to invest $ 82 million in green solutions that reduce polluting emissions.

On the other hand, he pointed out that the public transportor it is old and pollutes a lot. Therefore, mobility will be restructured and it is planned to acquire 500 units, 110 of them will be trucks electrical.

“We have a lot of pollution, due to the industry, we have a Refinery of Pemex in the metropolitan area. That’s why i came here to Glasgow to tell all the citizens (of Nuevo León) that if we are all part of the problem, we are all part of the solution, ”García Sepúlveda pointed out.
