Nuevo León records economic growth of 4% in the third quarter of 2021: ITAEE

Monterey, NL. The condition of New Lion has a growth of 4.0% in the third quarter of 2021with regard to the same period of the previous year, according to the Quarterly indicator of state’s economic activity (ITAEE), of Inegi, and it was below the national average, which reached 4.3 percent.

In terms of its percentage contribution to the national variation, however, it occupied the sixth position, with 0.32%, behind the Mexico State with 0.59%; Tabasco 0.40%; Veracruz 0.35%, Jalisco 0.35% and Quintana Roo 0.33 percent. On the contrary, the states that made the least contribution to economic growth were: Campeche -0.07% and Aguascalientes -0.05 percent.

The annual growth was promoted by the behavior of the primary activities which is an increase of 6.6%, the secondary activities 5.3% and tertiary 3.2 percent.

It should be noted that primary activities, which include agriculture, animal husbandry and exploitation, forestry, fishing and hunting, showed a recovery from July to September, compared to the first and second quarters, where there was a decrease of -10, 1 and – 10.8. percent.

Secondary activities, which as a whole ‘niAnnual rate increase of 5.3% in the third quarter, mainly due to the manufacturing and construction industriesshowed an increase of 42.4 percent in the previous quarter.
