The Nova Scotia RCMP is investigating after a man died in a car accident Saturday morning.
In a statement, police say they were notified of a collision on Ferry Road in Wallace just before 11 a.m. M.
“Cumberland County District Fire, RCMP and EHS attended the scene and found an off-road truck in a ditch along the highway with minor damage to the vehicle,” the statement said.
“The driver of the van, an 82-year-old man from Wallace, was pronounced dead at the scene.”
He said preliminary investigation indicates the car went off the road and into a ditch directly.
The highway was closed for several hours and has since reopened, according to the statement.
The investigation continues.
