Sun Youth will once again award worthy kids with bicycles this spring, as applications have opened for the annual Avi Morrow New Bicycle Distribution.
Awarded every year since 1984, 100 bikes are given out to children ages 5 to 17 who show exceptional courage in difficult situations or whose actions have had a positive influence in their community. Nominations are being accepted until March 31 at www.sunyouth.org.
The distribution was made possible by Avi Morrow, a donor who chose to remain anonymous for 35 years by presenting himself under the pseudonym of Mister Bike Man. Morrow died in 2019, but he made arrangements to hold this annual bicycle distribution well into the future.
