No one was injured after a log fell from a truck and collided with a school bus carrying children.

On Tuesday, shortly after 8:30 a.m., the Barrhead RCMP responded to a collision between a school bus and a semi-trailer and trailer carrying logs.

At the time of the collision, the bus was transporting the children to school. An investigation determined that while the truck was turning, a log fell off the trailer and “penetrated” the side of the school bus.

No one on the bus or the driver of the semi-trailer was injured.

Barrhead is approximately 120 kilometers northwest of Edmonton.
