No GO Train Service on Lakeshore West Line This Weekend Due to Construction | The Canadian News

There will be no GO train service on the Lakeshore West line this weekend as crews finish construction, Metrolinx says.

The transit agency said that starting Friday night and until the end of service on Sunday, train service will be suspended.

Several replacement bus routes will be in operation during the Lakeshore West rail line closure. For a full schedule, visit the Metrolinx website.

However, officials added that there will be no GO (bus or train) service at Long Branch, Mimico or Exhibition stations once the disruption in train service begins.

On Saturdays and Sundays, there will also be no bus or GO train service at Appleby, Bronte or Port Credit stations.

There will also be no train service in Niagara this weekend and those wishing to travel between Niagara Falls and Burlington can do so on the GO bus route 12.

For those attending the Leafs or Argos games on Friday night, there will be an additional westbound train ride departing from Union Station at 10:30 pm and Exhibit at 10:37 pm making all stops throughout the station to West Harbor GO, authorities said.

The last westbound train ride from Union Station will depart at 10:40 pm and the Exhibition at 10:52 pm, again making all stops at the station.

Replacement westbound buses will begin operating at 9:34 p.m.

Meanwhile, the last two eastbound trains from Exhibition to Union Station will depart at 10:50 pm and 11:20 pm and continue on the Lakeshore East line.
