New name revealed for Regina International Trade Center – Regina | The Canadian News

A new naming agreement between Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) and Viterra unveiled a new name for the International Trade Center.

It will now be known as the Viterra International Trade Center (VITC).

“It is fitting that Viterra and REAL have been partners for the past several years,” said Kyle Jeworski, CEO of Viterra North America. “The VITC will continue to act as the stage for world-class agricultural shows, such as the Farm Show of Canada, as well as other events.”

“This means another opportunity for Viterra to give back to the community,” Jeworski said. “We see this as a central point for the community, but also as support for our agricultural trade.”

REAL CEO Tim Reid says they are excited to put Viterra’s name on the side of the International Trade Center building.

“The Viterra International Trade Center will endure, not only as something exceptional today, but also in the future,” said Reid. “Today’s naming rights association is built on a legacy that we build together.”

The VITC has 150,000 square feet of indoor multipurpose event space, with a construction cost of $ 37 million. The original funding for the construction was a partnership between the federal and provincial governments, the City of Regina, the Regina Hotel Association, and Canadian Western Agribition.

“REAL and Viterra have been fixtures in Regina for over 100 years,” Reid said. “A partnership like this is natural as we seek to build our campus and Regina’s place as the center for agriculture and innovation in Canada.”

Jeworski adds that this includes an announcement that Viterra will build a canola crushing facility in Regina. Viterra is also the title sponsor of the Farm Show of Canada, which will take place June 21-23, 2022. The naming rights agreement is for 10 years.
