Motorcyclist dies in collision on Highway 60

A 59-year-old man died after a collision on Highway 60 Thursday night.

At approximately 7:15 p.m., Parkland RCMP was called into a serious two-vehicle collision on Highway 60 near Township Road 511.

Preliminary investigation suggests that a man driving a motorcycle was traveling north on the highway and attempted to turn left in front of an oncoming SUV. The motorcyclist was run over by the truck before colliding with the side of another truck.

The 59-year-old man who was driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

RCMP continues to investigate the collision.
