Defender Morgan Rielly is the latest Maple Leaf to be included in the NHL’s COVID health and safety protocols.

Rielly, along with a staff member, were added to the roster, the team announced Thursday morning.

The Leafs have a total of 12 players, three coaches and four staff members on the roster.

The players are:

Rielly, David Kämpf, Ilya Mikheyev, Rasmus Sandin, Petr Mrázek, Jack Campbell, John Tavares, Alex Kerfoot, Wayne Simmonds, TJ Brodie, Jason Spezza, and Travis Dermott.

Head coach Sheldon Keefe is also on the list.

Toronto, which closed until December 26, is scheduled to return to game action the next day in Columbus.

It remains on the schedule even though the league has had to postpone 45 games since Dec. 13 due to COVID-19.
