Morena will file a criminal complaint against deputies who voted against the electricity reform; seek public support

The national leadership of Brunettereported Mario Delgado Carrillowill present to the General Prosecutor of the Republic (FGR) a criminal complaint against the 223 opposition federal deputies for having committed the crime of “treason“by preventing with his vote the approval of the constitutional reform in electrical matters promoted by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador so that the State could recover the “sovereignty of the sector”, which was therefore rejected.

At a press conference, the Moreno national president explained that the complaint will be formally presented within a month, once the document has been signed, perhaps “by millions” of citizens as a sign of support.

What Brunette seeks with this action, he said, is that there is “zero impunity”.

“We cannot sit idly by; We have consulted our lawyers and they agree that we can file a lawsuit for the crime of treason against the fatherland, based on article 123 of the Federal Penal Code, against the 223 legislators who voted against a reform that tried to return sovereignty of the electricity sector to our country”.

Delgado Carrillo responded to those who “say that we should not polarize”, that those who are active in Brunette they cannot have a complicit silence; We cannot ignore such a forceful action against our country.

“Because there may be political situations, there may be debates, but the judgment of history is implacable and the defense of sovereignty must be very clear there.”

He rejected that the legal action is exaggerated and that the Morenoites do not respect those who differ from their thinking.

“Now it turns out that the authors of ‘it is a danger to Mexico’ (he said in reference to the PAN members), they feel offended because people know about their legislative work (which is public).
