Montreal traffic weekend May 6-8: Closures on Champlain Bridge, Highway 10


Here’s a roundup of the work being done this weekend on Montreal’s major roadways.

Closures are expected to disrupt traffic around Montreal this weekend, mainly on the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge and St-Pierre Interchange. Here’s what to look out for.

St-Pierre Interchange: The ramp connecting Highway 20, at Exit 63, to Highway 138 West and the Mercier Bridge will be closed between 11:59 pm Friday and 5 am on Monday.

Samuel-De Champlain Bridge: At the beginning of the section toward Montreal, two out of three lanes will be closed from 11 pm Friday until noon Saturday and then again from 11 pm Saturday until noon Sunday. One of three lanes will be closed on the same portion of the bridge from noon to 11 pm on Saturday and again on Sunday from noon to 5 pm

St-Antoine St.: In Montreal, three of four lanes will be closed between Greene Ave. and Rose-de-Lima St., from 9 pm Friday until 5 am Monday.

Highway 10: In Brossard, Highway 10 will be completely closed eastbound between Exit 11 (for du Quartier Blvd.) and the entrance from Highway 30 East from 11 pm Saturday until 8 am Sunday and again from 10 pm Sunday until 5 am Monday. In the interchange with Highway 30, ramps toward Highway 10 east will be closed Sunday from 1 am to 8:30 am and again from 11:59 pm Sunday until 5:30 am Monday.

The Fontaine Tunnel: Work scheduled for this weekend on Highway 25 southbound, which would have closed the La Fontaine Tunnel, has been canceled and rescheduled for next weekend.
