Monterrey receives the Frubana platform that supplies restaurants

Monterrey, NL. Frubana, the digital platform that supplies fruits, vegetables, meats, groceries and supplies for restaurants, through direct connection with local farmers and producers, announced that it is starting operations in Monterrey, as part of its expansion plan in the country; its objective is to supply 4,000 restaurants during its first quarter of operations, which represents more than 42% of the gastronomic offer from the city.

The goal is to provide during the first six months of operation to all the restaurants in the city, that is, about 9,500 establishments, who will be able to have savings in costs of supplies between 15% and 20%, in addition to reducing the times within of their supply chain and increase the quality of the products they offer.

It will have an initial warehouse, whose area is 3,000 square meters located in the municipality of San Nicolás de los Garza, which will generate more than 350 direct jobs focused on logistics, warehousing, commercial and administrative, as part of attracting local talent.

For the company, it is essential that the staff know the locality, its people and each product, in order to achieve greater efficiency in the operation and a sense of belonging.

“Monterrey is one of the main cities in Mexico, with hundreds of visitors for business or tourism, so we are pleased to expand our coverage to this region of the country and add our presence to reach four cities operating at the end of 2021.

“For the company, this city represents a strategic point within our operations as it helps us to generate connection in its surroundings and in the northern part of the country, to continue reaching more restaurants,” said Jorge Salas, director of Frubana Mexico.

Therefore, Monterrey becomes a key piece for the growth of this digital platform, to generate new alliances with farmers in the region and with the intention of adding to its base new producers interested in marketing their products in a more efficient way.

Currently Frubana serves more than 22,000 clients in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Puebla; hopes to offer the same benefits to restaurants in Monterrey, helping them save on purchases and contribute to a further reactivation of the sector, which has been one of the most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Frubana has a presence in Colombia, Mexico and Brazil, currently has more than 800 direct jobs in Latin America. After the peak of the pandemic, it registered significant global growth and recently made an injection of investment of more than 65 million dollars in technology.
