Mexico registers 4,653 new infections of Covid-19 and 284 deaths

The Health Secretary (Ssa) reported this Friday in its technical report that the number of cases of Covid-19 that have been confirmed in Mexico rose to or 3 million 777,209. The official number of total deaths in the country rose to 285,953.

Compared with the data provided by the agency yesterday, the new figures mean that when the information was cut off, 4,653 new infections were reported and 284 people died from the disease caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

Health authorities reported that the incidence rate of accumulated cases in the country is 2,928.7 per 100,000 inhabitants and that, by sex, there is a predominance of women (50.1%). The median age is 39 years.

In the report, it is confirmed that in Mexico there are 31,616 active cases (those that presented symptoms in the recent 14 days), with an incidence of 24.6 per 100,000 inhabitants, but the number of active cases estimated is 33,745.

The 10 states with the highest incidence rates are Tabasco, Baja California, Mexico City, Guanajuato, Yucatán, Aguascalientes, Coahuila, Colima, Querétaro, and San Luis Potosí. CDMX has 17.01% of active cases (5,381).
