Mexico adds 53 new deaths from Covid-19 and 916 confirmed cases in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health reported this Monday that the number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Mexico increased to 292,524, after notifying 53 new deaths registered in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the accumulated number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus is 3 million 864,278, after detecting 916 new infections compared to those reported yesterday.

According to the technical report on the progress of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, health authorities estimate that the number of active cases, that is, people who have symptoms of the disease in the last 14 days, is 17,729.

The occupancy of general beds for the care of patients with coronavirus stands at 17%, while beds with a ventilator for critically ill patients have an occupancy of 13%, one point per cent lower than that reported on Sunday.

Progress of vaccination against Covid-19 in Mexico

The Ministry of Health detailed that at the cutoff on Sunday, November 21, 99,511 vaccines were applied against the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, so the total doses supplied nationwide increased to 131 million 75,161.

Of the 75 million 896,683 people inoculated against Covid-19 in Mexico, 64 million 317,192 people have a complete scheme with one or two doses, depending on the type of biological applied. Meanwhile, 11 million 579,491 have half a scheme, waiting for a second dose.
