Mexico adds 164 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 5 deaths in the last 24 hours


Mexico registered this Monday 164 new Covid-19 infections, the lowest daily number of cases recorded in the year. The Ministry of Health detailed that the accumulated number of confirmed cases at the national level is 5 million 727,832 people who have been infected with the coronavirus.

Regarding hospital capacity, the occupancy of general beds stands at 4%, one percentage point more than what was registered yesterday, while beds with ventilators for the care of seriously ill patients maintain an occupancy of 2 percent.

As a result of the sustained reduction in infections of Covid-19from this Monday, April 18 and until Sunday, May 1, the 32 states will continue in green color of the Epidemic Risk Traffic Light for the third consecutive period.

Advance of vaccination against Covid-19 in Mexico

The Ministry of Health detailed that at the cutoff on Sunday, April 17, 71,393 vaccines against the coronavirus were supplied, for which the total doses applied in the country amounted to 195,891,966 million.

Of the 85,710,647 people who have been inoculated against Covid-19 in Mexico, 79,947,470 have a complete vaccination schedule.
