Mexico accumulates 3 million 951,946 cases of Covid-19 and 298,819 deaths

The Ministry of Health reported that as of this Monday, December 27, Mexico accumulates a total of 3 million 951,946 cases of coronavirus and 298,819 deaths.

The data given this Sunday represents 943 cases and 42 deaths from Covid-19 more than those reported on Sunday, December 26, when the previous technical report was published.

The incidence rate of cumulative cases of coronavirus in Mexico it is 3,064.2 per 100,000 inhabitants, reported the Ministry of Health in its Covid-19 Daily Technical Report.

Regarding the distribution by sex of confirmed cases of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, the report shows a predominance of women (50.2%) and a mean age of 39 years.

The federal agency indicated that the entities that accumulate the most number of Covid-19 cases in Mexico are:

  • Mexico City
  • Mexico state
  • New Lion
  • Guanajuato
  • Jalisco
  • Tabasco
  • Puebla
  • Veracruz
  • Sonora
  • San Luis Potosi

These 10 states together make up 65% of all accumulated cases in the country.

On the other hand, the Health Secretary reported that at the court this Sunday there are 19,192 active cases registered, that is, those positive cases that began with symptoms in the last 14 days.

Vaccination

According to the Ministry of Health, from December 24, 2020 to this date, 148 million 505,697 doses have been supplied in the 32 states. In Mexico, 81 million 914,780 people have at least one dose against Covid-19. Of that total, 72 million 699,165, which is equivalent to 89%, have a complete scheme, and 9 million 215,615, that is, 11%, started the scheme.
